Aberrant expression of miR-133a in endothelial cells inhibits angiogenesis by reducing pro-angiogenic but increasing anti-angiogenic gene expression

Abstract Angiogenesis is a multi-factorial physiological process deregulated in human diseases characterised by excessive or insufficient blood vessel formation.Emerging evidence highlights a novel role for microRNAs as regulators of angiogenesis.Previous studies addressing the effect of miR-133a expression in endothelial cells during Hunting Glove

Adult neurogenesis modifies excitability of the dentate gyrus

Adult-born dentate granule neurons contribute to memory encoding functions of the dentate gyrus (DG) such as pattern separation. However, local circuit-mechanisms by which adult-born neurons partake in this process are poorly understood.Computational, neuroanatomical and electrophysiological studies suggest that sparseness of activation in the granu

DAMAGING EFFECT OF MOVING TANK LOADS ON FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT

Presented in this paper is a new study of Hunting Gloves the damaging effect of the tank loads on flexible pavements. The equivalent load was developed on the basis of mechanistic - empirical approach. It was found that the damaging effect of the studied tank loads is 0.898 to 2.356 times the damaging effect of the standard 18 kips (80 kN) axle load.
